Parents Association (PTFA)

The Broadwindsor School Parent Association (PTFA) is a small group of committed parents who work together to fundraise for the benefit of the school and our pupils.

We welcome all offers of help and support from parents and the wider community. If you feel you would like to make a difference, please make contact via the school office and your details will be passed on to the Chair of the PTA.

There are currently 4 easy ways to raise vital funds for our school:

The Clothes Bank, which is situated outside the school gates.

The Cartridge Recycling boxes, which are outside the school office.

Stamptastic, which is an online service that supplies stamps for labelling children’s school clothes and equipment – https://www.facebook.com/stamptastic.co.uk/

Easyfundraising – if you’re not already registered, then please do join; parents, grandparents, friends, teachers. It’s so easy to use and every penny you spend when you link through to your shopping site using Easyfundraising generates a percentage for our PTA. You can join up here – https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/fabs/

We support school with some costs they incur throughout the year and with specific projects to support school priorities:

TV Licence

Shared contribution to Leavers’ Hoodies

Leavers Gift Bags

Annually in December – whole school trip to the Panto – we cover the cost of the coaches and an ice cream for each child – (close to £1000)

In 2018/19, we were able to purchase 6 iPads for classroom use, costing £1200; donation of £150 towards the Library project; contributions towards the revamped safety surface under the swings and repairs to the fort.

We run a number of events:

Sports Day refreshments and bouncy castle provision

December – Christmas Fair – All the family and friends welcome

December – Visit from Santa to the Class Parties

We are currently raising funds to help towards the cost of a new activity structure for the playing field. Our Summer Fete this year (July 2022) was very successful, raising more than £1100 to add to other donations already received by school. It is planned to start the project in Autumn term.
