Broadwindsor CE VC Primary School – “Learning and Growing Together”

Broadwindsor School is a Church of England village school that comes within the Salisbury Diocese. The school has a long history dating back to 1835 and is part of the community of Broadwindsor and Drimpton. We are aware of our responsibilities to provide spiritual development and engender an atmosphere of concern and mutual support for one another. Our role is one of involvement and commitment to our community.

We seek to create a happy, family atmosphere within a Christian environment where each adult and child feels secure and has a sense of purpose and responsibility. Christian values are part of every aspect of our school curriculum and daily life and are reflected throughout our ethos, aim and objectives. Children are valued, nurtured and encouraged to flourish.

Our Vision: “Learning and Growing Together”

Creating a highly effective school where everyone can flourish; securely rooted in our Christian Values and enabled to grow academically, spritually, emotionally and socially together.

Matthew 13:31-32 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) – The Parable of the Mustard Seed:

Jesus put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches”.

Our Chrisitian Values are the soil in which we root and flourish. They come from Galatians 5:22-23, The Fruits of the Spirit.
They are:

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
